Works OK : Hayden Automotive 3651 Adjustable Thermostatic Fan Control

I used this to install a Lincoln Mark VIII electric fan into my wifes 1996 Tahoe Sport.

I used a pipe thread adapter to thread the included temp sensor into a coolant port in the passenger side cylinder head between the last 2 cylinders.

I had to add an additional high amp relay directly in line of the fan power input because this controllers fuse would blow whenever the fan was activated, not a big deal and I was expecting it as the 3000-4000cfm mark8 fan draws a lot of power on start-up.

I have seen some weird behavior out of this controller sometimes and I'm not sure what's causing it. As the truck is just able warmed up to the temp that I set for the fan to turn on, the fan will kick on, then kick off, 5-6 times for 1/2 second each turn on, before finally staying on. It seems to do this every time and I'm not sure how to resolve unless there's a dead spot in my temp sensor or something. It's my understanding it should turn on at my set temp and then stay on unless the temp drops below 160*, which definitely isn't the case as I set it to turn on at 196*
